Forty years doing one thing.
Most marketing companies chase the new channel. We've watched four decades of "the thing that's going to kill direct mail" come and go — fax, email, search ads, social ads, SMS blasts, and now AI dialers — and the yellow letter is still getting opened on the kitchen counter. We do one thing, we've done it since 1986, and we've gotten very good at the part that matters: making a piece of mail that passes the junk mail test.
That's the whole company. Lined yellow legal-pad paper, handwriting-style cursive, a cream envelope addressed by hand, a real first-class stamp. No window, no barcode, no logo pretending to be a return address. Every choice exists to win the 3-second pause when a homeowner with problems is sorting the mail.
Run by an investor, not a marketer.
The difference that matters: Yellow Letter is owned and run by Micah Nicholes — a real estate investor who has bought over 100 houses since 2014 and still buys in Wisconsin today. The mailers we sell are the mailers he uses. The guides on this site aren't commissioned marketing copy; they're written from two feedback loops at once — operating a working mail house for investors and wholesalers across the country, and using these same letters to find sellers in his own market.
It's also why this site cross-references USLeadList (our sister company — inheritance and probate data) and HouseBuyerz (the cash-buying side) so often. Same owner, full disclosure, and the honest recommendation we'd make anyway. Real estate is a human-to-human business; we run all three the same way.
Where we mail from.
Letters are printed, stamped, and dropped first-class from our facility in Wisconsin. Most campaigns are uploaded and in the mail within 48 hours, and arrive in 5–7 business days. No setup fees, no minimums, no contracts — you pay per letter.
Talk to a person.
When a list rejects or a proof needs an edit, you get a person — not a ticket form that auto-replies in two days.
