Volume XL · 1986–2026

Yellow letters your sellers actually read. Since 1986.

Real handwriting-style cursive. Real yellow paper. Real first-class stamp. We’ve been mailing for real estate investors since the year Top Gun came out, and the letters still get opened — because they don’t look like junk mail.

Why this format

They get opened because they don’t look like junk mail.

A yellow letter is exactly what it sounds like. Lined yellow legal-pad paper. Real handwriting-style cursive. A real first-class stamp on a cream envelope, addressed by hand. No window. No barcode. No logo pretending to be a return address. All the tells that scream bulk mailer — missing on purpose.

For 40 years that combination has done one job: pass the junk mail test. When a homeowner with problems goes through the mail, we want them to pause and say "what's this?" — not glance and toss. Every design choice in a yellow letter exists to win that 3-second pause. Most mail fails the test. We've spent four decades figuring out exactly what passes.

What goes in the envelope

  • The letter — short, personal, signed in cursive. Looks like a neighbor wrote it. Says one thing: I’d like to buy your house, please call me at [number].
  • The envelope — cream, A2 or A9 depending on the campaign, addressed in the same handwriting font. Return address pre-printed on the back, no name above it by default. (Most response-focused mailings leave the name off — it feels less corporate.)
  • The list — your list, today. Upload a CSV, XLSX, or whatever your skip-trace tool exports. We auto-detect columns, dedup, and let you remove rows before printing. Coming soon — pick a Yellow Letter list (curated by us). Ask about early access if you'd like to be one of the first to use it.

What it isn’t

  • Not a postcard. Postcards say marketing at a glance. Yellow letters say personal note.
  • Not typed. Typed letters say form letter. Cursive on yellow paper doesn’t.
  • Not digital. The whole point is the physical artifact landing on a kitchen counter.
