Q. What is the cost of the Yellow Letter?

Yellow Letters are $1.39/letter, plus shipping. Shipping is typically $11.35. We do have a referral discount available. When placing your order, include the referral group/person and receive a $.10 discount off the retail letter price.

Q. What is the response rate with Yellow Letter?

Typically, Yellow Letters generate a 10-13% response rate. Yellow Letters are personal, simple and generic marketing pieces that are very effective at getting your target audience to pick up the phone and respond.

Q. Is the list cost included in the letter cost?

No, list costs are separate. List costs vary depending on your parameters and target market.

Q. Do you offer discounts on larger orders?

Our letters are $1.39/letter regardless of the size of the order. If an extremely large order is placed or you become a long-term consistent client, discounts may be in order.

Q. Is there a minimum I can order?

We have a minimum of 50 letters. However, Yellow Letters, like every direct mail campaign, is a numbers game, the more letters you mail out the better the response.

Q. How quickly will I receive my letters?

Once we have all the information we need to create your letters, you will receive a proof for approval (typically within an hour after purchase). Once you approve the proofs, your letters will either go out that day or the following day and it generally takes 2 business days to receive your order, a total of 4-5 business days.

Q. Should I include my name on the return address?

We have done extensive research to maximize response rate. Everything has been designed to make it as easy as possible to get the letter opened. If your name or company are not recognized by the recipient, they may not open it. Just a return address does not throw up red flags.

Q. Do you mail my letters out for me?

Generally, no. We have found that it has been beneficial to have your letters postmarked locally in your area. Once we produce your letters, they will come to you in a flat rate shipping box ready to mail, stuffed and stamped with a decorative, first class mail stamp. Just take them out of the box and drop in the mailbox. Shipping costs depend on the size of your order as follows: Under 150 letters - $6.65, orders between 150-500 - $13.30, 500-800 letters - $18.85, 1,000 letter order - $27.20 (larger orders vary). If it doesn’t matter to you whether or not the letters are postmarked locally in your area, we can mail them out for you, free of charge, from our office in California.

Q. Can I use my own letter?

Yes, you can use your own letter. You will always receive a proof before production to verify that the information is correct and the letter is exactly how you want it. The Original Yellow Letter is the marketing standard for excellence. Using your own letter may or may not produce the Yellow Letter response rate of 10-13%.

Q. Can I send you my own list and you do the letters?

Yes. If you have your own list please email it to Ashley at ashley@yellowletter.com in either an Excel or csv format. Supplying your own list means that you would just pay the letter cost.

Q. What format do you want my list in?

Please email your lists in either an Excel or csv format with each field (Name, Property Address, Mail Address, Mail City, Mail Zip) in its own column.

Q. Do you produce postcards?

We do not produce postcards. Our marketing research has found that a letter is a more effective direct mail piece.
